At Adams Atomic Engines, Inc., we are dedicated to sharing what we know about the benefits of clean, safe, abundant energy. The company has a conceptual design for a scalable power system that will use high temperature reactors cooled by nitrogen gas. The nitrogen also provides the working fluid in the power turbine. Commercial sources of the fuel required to build our reactors are not yet available and we have - so far - not been successful in our efforts to build the capital base needed to engage in the multiyear development, testing and licensing process required to obtain permission to build and operate our machines. Our efforts continue with design refinements and with publicly accessible publications and discussions.

When we can build what we have designed, our Adams Engines^TM will convert heat from Power Pebbles^TM into electricity using a small number of well proven components. Our engines should be able to supply cost-effective, competitive power in places that require between 1 MW to 50 MW of electricity. Applications in these sizes include load following power generation, remote sites, and commercial shipping.

We have been doing our homework since 1991 and believe that we have conceived a system that could fill a vital energy need in a sustainable, reproducible way. Our engines will operate for years without new fuel, they will not produce any air or water pollution and they will produce a minimal quantity of waste through the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle.
